Eagle's Nest

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America.  Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than 2 million young men. But not every boy who joins a Boy Scout troop earns the Eagle Scout rank; only about 6% of all Boy Scouts do so.

Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and demonstrating Scout Spirit through the Boy Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages. Eagle Scouts are presented with a medal and a badge that visibly recognizes the accomplishments of the Scout. Additional recognition can be earned through Eagle Palms, awarded for completing additional tenure, leadership, and merit badge requirements.

The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase "Once an Eagle, always an Eagle".

Eagle List

Troop 12 congratulates these young men on achieving this accomplishment.  The fact that a boy is an Eagle Scout has always carried with it a special significance, not only in Scouting but also as he enters higher education, business or industry, and community service. The award is presented to Scouts who consistently perform to the best of their personal ability, exceeding expectations at every stage. These are the boys who have completed this accomplishment in our troop, who we are proud to say make up our "Eagle's Nest".
